Celeste, englisch: celesta
Die Celesta ist ein Stahlplattenklavier auf hölzernen Resonanzkästen. Es wird mit Hämmerchen angeschlagen, man könnte sagen, dass es ein Glockenspiel mit Tastatur ist. Die Celesta wird eine Oktave tiefer notiert, als sie klingt. Erfunden wurde die Celesta 1886 von Auguste Mustel.
